3⁄4 cup (180 ml) heavy cream or coconut milk
1 Tbsp oil
1⁄2 tsp salt (3⁄4 tsp if using Vegetarian Sauce)
1⁄2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1⁄4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes or The Saucy African Pepper Heat Blend
(Optional) Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken lightly with salt and sear 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add The Saucy African Slow-Cooked Tomato Simmer Sauce and cook for 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in sun-dried tomatoes and The Saucy African Pepper Heat Blend; simmer for 2 minutes.
- Lower heat and add heavy cream or coconut milk, stirring gently. Simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over top, and simmer on low for 5–7 minutes until fully cooked.
- Garnish with basil or parsley and serve over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
Saucy Tip: Let the sauce simmer uncovered for 2 minutes at the end for a richer, restaurant-style finish.
