Serving Ideas
This oven-braised beef is incredibly versatile and can be served over fluffy white rice, jollof rice, creamy mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, or buttered noodles. It also pairs beautifully with polenta or a slice of crusty bread for soaking up the rich tomato sauce. For a lighter meal, serve alongside steamed vegetables or a simple green salad.
Saucy Tip
For even deeper flavor, sear the beef for 2–3 minutes per side before placing it in the baking dish. While completely optional, this extra step creates additional richness in the finished sauce.
